My Haribo Gummy Candy Memory
When you talk about Haribo Gummy candy you talk about one of the original gummy bear makers. This company decided that they wanted to make our lives a little more enjoyable by coming up with a candy that would undeniably be one of the greatest of sugar gelatin candies.
I can remember when I first tasted gummy bears. I was a little girl visiting over my great grandma’s house. She had two types of candy that she always had in her bowls.
One was filled with those sugar coated candies that came in a variety of colors. These candies were placed on an end table that sat right next to the door when you came in. I didn’t really take to these much.
Even as a child I always thought that they had just too much sugar on them.
Then there was the other bowl that sat right in the middle of the coffee table. These were the Haribo Gummy candies. I’m not sure if they came in a lot of various colors because she always only had the gold bears.
I would pop those little babies right in my mouth. She would only allow me to have around three, but I would go by the table when no one was looking and pop a couple more in my mouth. I would walk around strategically chewing when no one was looking.
To this day, every time I see either the sugar candy or the Haribo Gummy candy I think of my now deceased great grandma’s house.
